Frequently Asked Questions

We are excited to have you join us on a Tour! Please refer to the following FAQ List for any questions you may have prior to the event. If for any reason you have a question that is not listed here, please contact us at acetoursknox@gmail.com and we will be happy to answer ASAP!

How do I book a Tour?

A variety of time slots are available, and can begin on the hour or on the half hour. These bookings are first come, first served, so if you have a timeframe that works best for your group, be sure to schedule in advance to secure your desired start time! Average Tour run time is approximately 3 hours. If you would like assistance with booking, please reach out via the Contact page above.

Do you offer Private Tours?

Absolutely! A minimum of 6 tickets would need to be purchased to secure a Private Event. Please use our Contact page above to fill out our form, and we will reach out ASAP. Again, bookings are first come, first served, so please schedule in advance if at all possible!

Do you offer special pick up/drop off points?

Within reasonable distance of your selected route, this can be accommodated with advance notice.

What is the average Tour duration?

Typically 2.5-3 hours with a 3.5 hour maximum. Additional time may incur an added expense of $75 for every additional 30 minutes. Please be mindful of your arrival time, as this may interfere with other Tours scheduled the same day.

What is the mode of transportation?

ALL TOURS ARE WALKING TOURS!

The longest route is less than 1.5 miles. Please wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes. No bicycles, rollerblades, or electric scooters are permitted. If you would like to personally rent a vehicle, this is permitted and will need to be arranged ahead of time.

Does the Tour still run in inclement weather?

Our Tours operate rain or shine! As my mama used to say: “there is no bad weather, only bad clothing choices.” In the event of severe weather (flash flooding, blizzard, hail, etc.), cancellation may occur on a case-by-case basis and tickets will be refunded in full.

Is there a Dress Code?

Aside from the standard “No Shirt, No Shoes” Rule, here’s what to expect:

Brew Tours: Comfortable walking shoes & weather-appropriate gear suggested (wide brim hats, rain jacket, etc).

NO: Flip-Flops, Feather Boas

Hidden Gems: Business Casual or Cocktail Attire, but this isn’t the time to break in those stilettos! Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

NO: Flip-Flops, Excessively Casual Clothing, Distressed Pants, Feather Boas

What ages are allowed?

This is an intentionally adult experience and is limited to those 21 and older.

Per Tennessee State Law & Company Policy, Valid Photo ID (Drivers License, Passport, etc) is required for all participants. No, a picture of your ID does not count. Those who arrive without Valid Photo ID will not be allowed to participate & will not be refunded. Please plan accordingly.

Are pets allowed?

Due to the nature of these venues generally being food-safe production spaces, animals* are not allowed. I will always, however, be interested in seeing photos of your pets!!

(*If you require a service animal, please give advance notice. This may affect venue availability.)

I don’t drink alcohol—am I welcome?

Absolutely! In fact, we pride ourselves on being inclusive. Our Non-Alcoholic Drinking Ticket option allows for participants to experience NA* options (classified as up to 0.5% ABV). It is just as expensive (if not more so!) to produce NA beverage options, so the cost is the same as our Drinking Tickets.

If you would prefer not to drink anything, Non-Drinking Tickets are available (must still be 21+ to participate).

Can I drink beforehand?

We provide ample opportunities for you to partake in a variety of libations with varying alcohol percentages. Guests who arrive appearing intoxicated will not be permitted to join the experience. Please do not pregame.

Can I buy additional alcohol on the Tour?

Short answer: it depends. Know your limits! Guests who are visibly intoxicated will not be served further. Please drink responsibly.

Any packaged product purchases made CANNOT be consumed while on Tour.

Are these Tours Wheelchair Accessible?

Mostly! Please let us know ahead of time to ensure proper routing and to be sure all venues can accommodate.

Will there be restrooms available?

Yes—at every venue we Tour, there should be a bathroom available.

Will there be food available?

We HIGHLY recommend eating beforehand (and are happy to make nearby suggestions based on your preferences!). Not all venues we Tour will have food options. Keep in mind that these Tours run at a set pace. Please use consideration when ordering from a restaurant or food truck while on the Tour.

Are photos permitted?

Yes*—mostly! Some breweries reserve judgement to not have their production spaces photographed). Please be considerate of your guide and fellow Tour participants. If you would prefer not to be photographed, please let us know. No live-streaming will be permitted. If you post any photos taken while on Tour, please tag us at @acetoursknox on Instagram & Facebook!

Is gratuity included?

No, gratuity is not automatically included. However, tips are greatly appreciated! Cash or Venmo available.

What is the refund/cancellation policy?

As these events are curated and require advance notice to our venues, we require at least one full week notice for cancellation & refund or rescheduling. Anything canceled within 7 days of the Tour will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations made within 48 hours will not receive a refund.

If a Tour is canceled by ACE Tours Knox for any reason, a full refund will be issued as soon as possible.

BANNED ITEMS

Did we mention no feather boas?

When in doubt: just ask!

Anti-Harassment Policy

ACE Tours Knox has enacted a Zero-Tolerance Policy for harassment, which extends to our staff, fellow participants, venue staff, and other individuals encountered during an event. We strive to provide an entertaining, educational, inclusive, respectful, and safe experience for all involved.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a kind and respectful reputation, which in turn has allowed us special access to these businesses. If we observe a Tour participant engaging in any form of harassment towards our staff, a venue staff member, another tour participant, or any other individual encountered while on Tour, or if a credible act of harassment is reported at any time during the Tour, the offending participant will be asked to leave immediately at his/her own expense and without refund.  Additionally and when warranted, ACE Tours Knox reserves the right to notify proper authorities of any activity that could be in violation of local, state or federal laws.

Harassment refers to conduct that denigrates or shows hostility or aversion toward an individual including, but not limited to: slurs, crude or offensive jokes, or other verbal, graphic, written or physical conduct relating to an individual’s race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or sexual orientation.

Sexual harassment refers to unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, unwelcome or offensive touching, sexually provocative or abusive language and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.

We want all of our Tour participants to have an enjoyable experience when taking a Tour with us.  You can help us achieve that by respecting our employees, the venues, and your fellow participants by not engaging in any forms of harassment while on a Tour.
